Moved by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by Commissioner Ruohomaki to
approve the purchase of computer updates for the Sheriff’s department not to
exceed $15,000 from Dell with two workstations being paid from the Road Patrol
Fund and the balance to be paid from the Computer line item. MOTION CARRIED.

2. Animal Shelter Report.
Moved by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by
Commissioner Bengry letter of support of the Bay de Noc Kennel Club Building. MOTION CARRIED.
Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by
Commissioner Nelson to send a letter to Road Commission requesting sand for the
building site. MOTION CARRIED.
Moved by Commissioner Nelson and seconded by
Commissioner Schultz to send the lease agreement to the County attorney for
review. MOTION CARRIED.

seconded by Commissioner Bengry to waive any building permit fees for the Bay
de Noc Kennel Club building. MOTION

3. The
Wexford System.
Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Nelson to the allow
the 3 employees who have not been through the Wexford Reclassification to
request to be reclassified under this system before making any changes to the
system. MOTION CARRIED.

motion to include freezing any other requests for reclassifications other than
the 3 who have not gone through the system.

4. Ballot
Language 911 Dispatch.
Moved by Commissioner Bengry and seconded by Commissioner Ruohomaki to approve
the ballot language for the 911 Millage Proposal to read:
For
5 years beginning with the tax assessments of December 2005 and ending with the
assessments in July of 2010, shall the total taxable property rate limitations
in Delta County be lifted by up to .85 mil ($.85 for each $1,000 of taxable
valuation) to exclusively finance equipment, facility and operating costs of a
911 emergency telephone answering and dispatch system within Delta County? This is a new millage to be levied under the
County’s general taxing authority and if approved and levied in its entirety,
this millage would raise an estimated $811,750.00 in the first calendar year
after its approval. Revenue from this
millage will be disbursed to a newly formed Delta County Central Dispatch
Authority.
